Ofcom has published the January edition of its Media Literacy e-bulletin

There’s news on next month’s Safer Internet Day, which aims to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially amongst children and young people. Activity in the UK will be led by the new Safer Internet Centre, which launched on 1 January 2011 and the e-bulletin includes more information about some of the events taking place.
We also have news on the award of the UK’s first Child Safety Online Kitemark, which was awarded to Netintelligence earlier this month.
As usual, we have news from the Nations and an update on upcoming events and initiatives.
